Alessandro & Kirsten: on-site owners
Alessandro -originally from Italy- is always around and can fix just about anything around the property. A friendly and handy guy to have around. Ale is always out and about making sure everything is running smoothly and all the guests are attended to. He is a scuba dive instructor and likes hanging out with the travelers sharing stories. Perhaps you can taste his home brewed beer!
Kirsten -originally from the Netherlands but grew up in South-Africa- is the destination and marketing expert. If you are reading this it is because her and her team do a great job. Kirsten is part of many projects in and around Bayahibe and is usually busy on her computer making sure that all the information on the website is up to date and publishing great deals on accommodation and excursions in Bayahibe. Kirsten is a conservation ecologist and makes sure the hotel runs as eco-friendly as possible.
Laura: awesome receptionist
Laura - originally from England - is a super sweet person with some exeptional organization skills. She is the one handling all of our reservations and takes care of the reception at the hotel.
She has vast knowledge about the Dominican Republic, if you have any travel related questions she is the one to ask. Laura is super passionate about this country, she has worked with many organizations here specifically regarding the conservation of the underwater world.

15 years ever since. The hotel stood the time of 4 owners so far. The first being a German couple who also did the construction - Werner and Martina. After that Claus Muller bought the
guesthouse and not long after sold it to an Italian family until Alessandro and Kirsten bought it in 2015. Alessandro and Kirsten have plenty of passion and energy to make Villa Iguana
Hotel the best it can be.
In August 2016 all the rooms were renovated, air conditioning was installed in all the rooms and all guests now have access to the rooftop pool and bar area.
